Katherine Day, Owner & Pin-Up Extraordinaire

Katherine Day was trained as a stylist at Graham Webb International in London and Washington, DC, graduating in April 1994. She spent a year as a Sebastian International Educator, educating on Sebastian’s philosophy in styling and hair cutting techniques. From 1996 to 1998, she served as stylist at the exclusive Cristophe Salon in Washington, DC. During this time she was also a Wella International Educator, educating in the art of hair color.

She moved to Los Angeles in 1998 to further her career. While there, she spent six years as a freelance stylist operating out of Beverly Hills, styling for movies and photo shoots and doing celebrity house calls. She moved to Maui in 2005 and has since had her own studio where her hair and make up magic happens.

Katherine has been a stylist for many celebrities, including Wonder Woman Linda Carter, Rod Stewart’s family and while in DC she did Hillary Clinton's blow-dry in the Jackie Kennedy salon located in The White House. Her work has been featured in Vogue and The Washingtonian Magazine. Island Girl Pin Ups was also featured locally on the cover of The Maui Time Weekly on two occasions — the Beauty issue and the Christmas issue.
